TEPCON Construction (an ESOP company) is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead the front end of our growth efforts. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities through proactive relationship-building and market engagement.
This is not a reactive, bid-driven position. The ideal candidate is a true business developer – someone who creates opportunities before they formally exist, builds trust with key stakeholders, and coverts relationships into long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with facility managers and property managers across key sectors.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in hospitality, medical office, industrial, and commercial markets.
- Engage early with project stakeholders including brokers, developers, architects, designers, furniture representatives, and owner’s representatives.
- Build and manage a robust, actionable sales pipeline.
- Position TEPCON to be involved in projects prior to formal bidding processes.
- Collaborate internally to align client needs with operational capabilities.
- Drive repeat business by delivering value and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Commercial construction business development
- Tenant improvement projects
- Commercial real estate or development
- Strong understanding of the construction process and project lifecycle.
- Experience within the Arizona market preferred.
- Proven ability to generate new business through relationship-driven sales.
- Excellent communication, networking, and follow-up skills.
