In the era of COVID-19, safely and successfully completing construction projects is at the forefront of TEPCON’s business model. That’s why we’ve continued our mission as construction experts in the occupied environment as well as implemented a set of job site prevention measures to ensure the health and safety of all parties involved in a project. These methods were most recently put to practice at TriWest Healthcare Alliance, where we successfully completed a commercial construction project in the midst of COVID-19, despite implementing major changes due to the virus.

This project included four buildings totaling 121,000 sq. ft. Due to the majority of TriWest associates working from home as a safety precaution of COVID-19, our team was able to cut the number of phases of this multi-phase project in half. This project took 16 weeks to complete and included:

  • A full remodel of all bathrooms and breakrooms
  • New carpeting and paint throughout the property
  • Management and implementation of furniture lift for carpet installation

“Our experience with TEPCON throughout this project was very collaborative with an emphasis on customer service and timely responses to our concerns,” said Steve Georgoulis CFM, SFP, Director of Facilities for TriWest Healthcare Alliance. “Our Project Manager, Dick Webby, did an excellent job of keeping us informed and on schedule. Overall, we will gladly invite TEPCON to bid on future projects.”

Safety Precautions for Successful Projects

Our team took the following measures to protect themselves, the entire TEPCON team, Cresa Project Management, and TriWest Facility Managers from COVID-19:

  • Mask Wearing: all team members wore masks to help reduce the spread of COVID-19
  • Job Site Sanitation: TriWest provided sanitation stations for all patrons and workers to use
  • Deep Cleaning: nightly enhanced cleaning of all common areas ensures sanitization

We’re so proud of our successful project completion during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our expertise in occupied environments paired with brand-new preventative measures allowed our team to work swiftly and safely, all while doing what we do best: full service contracting. At TEPCON, family is more than a word: it’s a lifestyle. We aim to keep our family safe while successfully completing our construction projects.
